Just imagine how happy you would feel to be welcomed home every day by these scraggly old oak trees. Experts estimate that our "urban forest" - that's the tree coverage in the nation's urban areas - has declined by over 4 million trees a year. That's an enormous amount of shade and cooling, carbon sequestering and sheer beauty that is being lost. Climate change provides advantages to pests and stresses some trees beyond their limits.
