Another San Diego specialty. Mission fig trees were planted here by the Franciscan missionaries in the late 1700s and throughout the state at the missions. Sweet and delicious with a strawberry colored interior and dark skin, it’s sure to be a favorite and usually produces two crops a year! Eaten fresh, cooked into jam, or halved on a charcuteries board with tangy cheese and honey, nothing compares! These guys are plenty happy in our Patio pots. A wonderful choice for anyone with roots in the Mediterranean.
